Been several weeks since any construction on the Onex. A kitchen remodel, spring chores, and building space got in the way. The kitchen is done, the spring chores are ongoing, and new space is being constructed.
I'm building a partition in my two car garage to move out of my basement for the larger fuselage and center wing construction. The new single car space is to be both the final construction space and the completed aircraft "hanger". Existing space is in image 1.
Last year I built a 1/24 scale model of the garage and various pieces of shop cabinets, shelves and benches I have. Image 2 shows a layout with the fuselage on a bench. Image 3 shows the completed Onex in the "hanger" space. The paper model was a modified Sonex model found on the Sonex forum site.
To date, the wall is done. The wall includes an electrical sub-panel, lots of 120vac outlets, (3) 240vac outlets, electric wall heater, extension of the house central vacuum system, ethernet cable outlet, extension of the house intercom/radio, rigid compressed air line with 5 outlet drops, additional ceiling lights and provisions to run an electrical circuit to other garage locations. I still need to reorganize/store things that were displaced during the garage remodel.
Hope to be back to work on the Onex soon.
